Rev. Dr. Calvin R. Cole, Sr.

Rev. Dr. Cole is a native of Union County, KY, where he grew up. He attended Dunbar and Union County Schools in Morganfield, KY. After graduating from high school, he was lead to attend West Kentucky Technical College in Paducah to capture his lifelong dream of becoming a tailor. While attending West Kentucky Technical College, he met Fannie, who became his wife. From this union was born, Calvin Jr. and Chris. The family is proud of two precious grandchildren, Natauzzia and Jazzdon and three great grandchildren.

Upon graduating from West Kentucky Technical College Tailoring School in 1969, he went to work in Louisville as a tailor at Rodes. After five years of working and attaining more tailoring techniques, he was asked to be an instructor at West Kentucky Technical College. Rev. Cole succeeded Mr. Stanford Barnes, his teacher and mentor, who gave him his start. After twenty-seven years of teaching, Rev. Cole retired January 1, 2003.

While teaching tailoring, he attended and graduated from Paducah Community College and Murray State University, obtaining his BS Degree in Vocational Education.

In 1982, after being called by God, and directed by the Holy Spirit, he accepted his call into the ministry. He is currently the proud Pastor of Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church.

Rev. Cole is the son of the late Ralph and Lucille Cole.  As the firstborn, he grew up with a binding relationship of two brothers, James and Larry, and two sisters, Ann (deceased) and Marie.

It is wonderful for all Christians to be working for the Lord. One day Rev. Cole, like all other Christians, wants to hear the Lord say, "Well done thy Good and Faithful Servant."
